316 Configuration Management Specialist

Clearance-Secret

 Education/Professional Certificates:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or
  • An Associate’s degree from an accredited college with one (1) year of demonstrated Configuration Management experience; or
  • Five (5) years demonstrated Configuration Management experience.

Specialized Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite software to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, project, Access and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage configuration control of large software.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage configuration control of hardware development efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to track and manage program deliverables and or purchases through the use of automated systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to document Configuration Management process in standard operating procedures and develop processes for engineers to follow to ensure their compliance with program Configuration Management Processes and Procedures

Configuration Management Tasking:

  • Collaborate with project engineers to generate specifications, abstracts, technical reports, whitepapers, and technical briefing materials in NSWCDD, Sponsor, Conference, or other DoD required formats.
  • Work closely with configuration management staff to ensure that all document and artifact change is properly managed and documented in version control.
  • Develop and maintain the specific Baseline hardware and software documentation for both AEGIS Baselines and Ship Self-Defense System (SSDS) Baselines as needed for ERDDS configuration management.
  • Provide technical editing of project materials using Microsoft Office tools to include presentations, documents, spreadsheets, and integrated master schedules.
  • Attend project meetings; provide and track action items.
  • Prepare documentation needed to support Regional Maintenance & Modernization Coordination Office (RMMCO) check-in and checkout.
  • Attend weekly AWS/BMD Weekly Build Preparation Meeting to support ERDDS hardware and software installation schedule.
  • Maintain and update ERDDS fielding plan and installation schedules.
  • Prepare Transmittals and DD1149s to facilitate the shipment of materials and media to support the project.
  • Prepare documentation required to support the purchase of materials and equipment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and willing to learn Microsoft Access.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with technical team members.
