304 Journeyman Software Engineer
Location: on site NSWCDD and 2 days a week in Fredericksburg, VA
Telecommuting may be permitted on occasion for training purposes only, but otherwise not available.
Qualifications requires:
- Clearance-Secret required.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience performing software design, code, and testing.
Special Skills Required:
- Software coding in C++ preferred and/or Java in a Linux environment
Required Education/ Professional Certifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics, and 4 years of software development experience;
- Or a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics, and 2 years of software development experience;
- Or a Ph. D’s degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.
- Required Specialized Experience (not required with a Ph.D. degree)
