354 Electrical Engineer

Location: NSWCDD-ON-site Dahlgren VA

Clearance: TS/SCI

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field, or 4 years of relevant technical experience.
  • 5+ years in electrical design and engineering.
  • Proven ability to plan and design projects to meet objectives.
  • Experience with industry-standard CAD tools, including:
  • Altium, Agilent ADS, LT Spice, MATLAB, LabVIEW, CST, HFSS
  • Skilled in creating technical data packages and documentation per industry standards.
  • PCB design experience

Responsibilities

  • Conducts R&D, testing, and integration of custom embedded systems and specialized communications.
  • Develops rapid engineering solutions to unconventional threats by translating high-level requirements into integrated microelectronic designs.
  • Designs electrical circuits, RF receivers, and compact antennas with minimal oversight. Performs analog/digital circuit and embedded microcontroller design, modeling, schematic capture, PCB layout, and coding.
  • Lead integration and testing, including electromagnetic and environmental verification, to ensure system reliability.
  • Collaborates with Project Leads to refine requirements, research alternatives, and assess technical risks.
  • Builds prototypes to validate designs, working with technicians as needed.
    Coordinates with mechanical engineers for integration into custom enclosures.
  • Documents designs and follows configuration management protocols.

  • Skilled in analog/digital circuits, embedded microcontrollers, and compact antenna design. Proficient in performing, documenting, and defending modeling and analysis.
  • Experienced with test methods, diagnostic tools, and software for inspecting and resolving electrical system issues.

353 Software Developer

Location: NSWCDD- onsite Dahlgren, VA

Clearance: Secret w/ ability to obtain TS SCI

Tasking:

  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for a data fusion application using modern programming languages.
  • Develop both back-end and front-end application components to support a rich, responsive web/desktop interface.
  • Design and implement software modules for integration with vendor-developed hardware components.
  • Optimize code for performance, scalability, and enhanced user experience.
  • Participate in product design and feature development sessions with the team.
  • Apply best practices to identify, recommend, and execute improvements in software functionality and maintainability.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for development reference and team training.
  • Engage in full-cycle application development from initial concept through implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to integrate hardware into the application framework.
  • Attend infrequent local in-person meetings as needed.
  • Support potential overseas travel (1–2 weeks annually) based on project requirements.
  • Work closely with team members, customers, and project sponsors to define and refine technical requirements.
  • Assist in translating technical requirements into actionable development tasks.
  • Contribute to planning, execution, and continuous improvement of the development process.

Skillsets desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline or,
  • 3+ years’ experience in C, C++, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and or Rust.
  • Experience with git.
  • Experience with software debugging and associated tools such as Eclipse, Visual Studio Code.
  • Basic knowledge of integrating hardware equipment into a software application.
  • Proficiency in resourcefulness, troubleshooting, & problem-solving skills.
  • Experience writing technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to learn new languages and technologies.
  • Attention to detail in coding, documentation and communications.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, business, or technical discipline and two (2) years’ technical experience working with Oracle Enterprise component products including Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF), Oracle Apex, Ad Hoc reporting tools, Developer tools, Oracle WebLogic, and Oracle Enterprise Database tools. OR Six (6) years’ experience working with Oracle Enterprise component products including Oracle Application Development Framework, Ad Hoc reporting tools, Developer tools, Oracle WebLogic, and Oracle Enterprise Database tools.
  • Two (2) years’ experience with Java/J2EE application full life cycle development experience including specifying, building and deploying on Application servers and Web Services applications.
  • Two (2) years’ experience with Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1 or higher, Oracle ERP applications development with an emphasis on workflows, forms, interfaces and other technical functions.
