356 Configuration Management Specialist
Location: NSWCDD, Dahlgren VA (Onsite)
Clearance: Secret
Education/Professional Certification:
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; or
- An Associate’s degree from an accredited college with one (1) year of demonstrated Configuration Management experience; or
- Five (5) years demonstrated Configuration Management experience.
Tasking:
- Run reports on up-to-date inventory of the equipment housed in the laboratory via an online database and assist individuals in locating equipment and parts upon request.
- Perform periodic inventories no less than annually of classified materials.
- Attend ERDDS/ECDCS/ECS meetings. Provide agendas, minutes, action items and their responses, and status of assigned items to Technical Project Manager.
- Collaborate with Portfolio Leadership to generate specifications, abstracts, technical reports, whitepapers, and technical briefing materials in NSWCDD, Sponsor, Conference, or DoD required formats.
- Provide formal documentation of ERDDS/ECDCS/ECS meeting minutes and ERDDS/ECDCS/ECS decisions to FDC Leadership.
- Provide conference planning to include attending meetings, preparing agendas, providing minutes, and tracking the status of action items.
- Coordinate shipboard installations of Fleet Data Collection (FDC) Portfolio equipment.
- Use MS Project for developing program plans and tracking program execution including the generation of critical path.
- Generate weekly status reports, update monthly reporting presentations and respond to administrative data calls.
- Attend meetings and working groups. Provide meeting minutes and serve as the single point of collection for team information, questions, and action items generated during meetings.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings.
- Generate and/or update for Government review, CM Plans and processes, updates to specifications and user documentation (e.g., Version Description Documents, Revision Description Documents), Charters, user’s guides and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that describe how CM is accomplished and demonstrate consistency between product definition, product configuration, and CM records. The Contractor shall review Program Management plans and technical documentation and provide CM assessments. The Contractor shall develop/modify CM Plans in support of the program plan and integrated master schedule.
- Provide support in establishing configuration identification nomenclature for FDC hardware and software, including firmware, and interfaces. Track configuration items to the level necessary to fully support FDC Portfolio systems engineering, logistics, interface management, and planning functions.
- Draft, review, and edit change proposals, work instructions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Government review and finalization.
- Produce and deliver agendas, minutes, action items, and/or reports in support of ERDDS/ECDCS/ECS meetings and requests.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate test efforts aboard ship and/or at land-based test facilities;
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate the shipping, receiving and tracking of test equipment;
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate required support for test sites and laboratory operations, schedule riggers, contractors, and other support personnel to accomplish tasking;
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain program calendars and schedules, to include planned test events, reviews, technical meetings, and computer program deliveries;
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite software to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, project, Access and Outlook;
- Demonstrated ability to manage configuration control of large software;
- Demonstrated ability to manage configuration control of hardware development efforts;
- Demonstrated ability to track and manage program deliverables and or purchases through the use of automated systems;
- Demonstrated ability to document Configuration Management process in standard operating procedures and develop processes for engineers to follow to ensure their compliance with program Configuration Management Processes and Procedures.
