Candidate’s Projected Role/Experience Requirements:
SDC is seeking an RF / Spectrum Systems Engineer with engineering support, technical analysis, studies, and associated deliverables to include:
·         Experience with IP connected environment across Wireless Tactical Military to strategic border protection (i.e. communication systems engineering including waveform development, networked systems and transmission systems deployment.)
·         Experience with spectrum and frequency management, system design and validation / verification of system performance.
·         Participate in and provide technical input for all scheduled reviews and Integrated Product Team meetings.
·         Refine system requirements, reviewing requirements traceability matrix and cross reference matrix (verification).
·         Development and review of program engineering documentation (SEP, TEMP, PPP, etc.).
·         Review of all contractor technical data and contract documentation deliverables.
·         Development acquisition and/or programmatic artifacts (SOW, CDRL, Specifications).
·         Development, planning and executing formal technical reviews and audits.
·         Interfacing with government and contractor stakeholders to determine changes in operational requirements or concepts of operations that may affect the development of the desired capability.
·         Interfacing with government and contractor stakeholders for research, development, test and evaluation of emerging technologies and experimental systems from basic research to component or breadboard validation in a lab environment (TRL 1 – 4).
·         Contractor Logistics Support performance monitoring and reporting.
·         Review Monthly Progress deliverables on the contract to ensure compliance and conformance with quality assurance plan performance.
·         Provide guidance for technical inspections and ECP (modifications and upgrades) fielding.
·         Provide engineering analysis in development of lifecycle sustainment and management processes.
·         Provide engineering analysis in research, development, test and evaluation of emerging technologies and experimental systems from basic research to component or breadboard validation in a lab environment (TRL 1 – 4).
·         Perform configuration status accounting, as a part of configuration management.
·         Determine root cause and corrective action (RCCA) efforts along with supporting maintenance reviews.
·         Prepare for, schedule and conduct all SETR events.
·         Provide monthly status report to program lead. Status report shall include descriptive status, recently completed and upcoming events, and any issues or risk on each independent effort which you are assigned.
·         Perform analysis of the government and contractor Integrated Master Schedules.
·         Develop and review all engineering change proposals:
o   Advance Government developed ECP change requests (form 1692).
o   Provide technical review and comments on all other developed ECPs as required.
o   Provide Engineering Review Board and Configuration Change Board support in align with the target organization’s CM plan and addendums as required.
·         The RF / Spectrum Systems Engineer shall conduct other technical analyses, trade studies, market research, and white papers and deliver written reports as required.
·         Support will include travel directly associated with tasking. Travel will include test events at USMC locations. Travel not to exceed 50%
